SHRUTI is a family of people who are not only the music lovers but who also go into the finer notes of life and music. It is an assemblage of connoisseurs who believe that the music is a thread linking our very existence to the ultimate…. a ladder to nirvana.
Shruti has evolved as a cultural arm of SHAKILAM FOUNDATION, a philanthropic charitable trust registered in the year 1978. SHAKILAM FOUNDATION has been carrying out its Educational, Medical Relief and Literary activities for the last twenty-eight years. By supporting Shruti movement, this foundation commits itself to the perseverance of the essence and fragrance of Indian Classical Music. It would be our endeavor to enrich the collective musical consciousness of our society by creating cultural awareness amongst its members and the masses.
To enhance and promote Indian Classical Music and keep alive the rich Indian traditional culture among the people.
Invite and commemorate the masters and maestros to display the finest and rare aspects of their crafts.
Provide a platform to promising and talented artists.
Provide scholarships for higher education and provide funds for research in musicology.
Support and comfort the forgotten artists in their twilight years
